The first SOUTH AFRICAN DAIRY CHAMPIONSHIPS was held in 1833 by this Society. Today, around 900 dairy products are judged up to 60 judges in 10 categories. Agri-Expo created the Qualité emblem in 2000 and today it is South Africa’s only symbol of excellence in the Dairy Industry. Winning products are crowned SA Champions and only a few products are awarded with the Qualité Mark of Excellence. All Qualité awarded products are judged by an independent panel of five senior judges to determine the overall winner. The product scoring the highest average point is announced the SA Dairy Product of the Year.
